The real test is to be exclusive in a $20k car. I present to you the FIAT 500 Klondike.
Exclusively available at only one FIAT dealership in the entire US of A. Sadly, it is not in my FIAT dealership. But I do have this 1 of 1 500C with a race-inspired appearance package.

What's special about the top one, just the roof rack?

That's part of the package. But the Bull Bar on the front and the bumper guard on the rear really sell it for me. Also the winter tires.

That would do well out here in Colorado. It's actually pretty innovative on the part of the Milwaukee dealer. Perhaps not quite at the level of a Yenko Camaro, but it is smart for his part of the world.

Hmm. That makes it interesting. Not sure I'd want to drive it in the snow still. Though I guess on well-plowed Aspen roads...

As a fellow dealer, I appreciate their enthusiasm.
Also, though it might seem silly at face value, demonstrating that any car is a simple platform and open to modification will actually help push the industry forward and reduce the devastation suffered by those who have contracted The Camry Effect.
And a rear bumper guard in snowy, icy Wisconsin? That might just save you a few bumpers along the way! There is nothing more disheartening than watching a car drift slowly into you at 3 MPH.

You are so right. It really is a good package and I'm not kidding about it being good out here. The bumper bars would be great for the trek up I-70 in the winter, which is a nightmare any time of year, but with a heavy snow fall and every out-of-town tourist heading to the slopes from the airport- in a hurry - this bumper bar could be very useful.

I am in Northern Michigan, in a town called Traverse City. Pretty much right next to Lake Michigan. Between the Jet Stream which is almost always right above us, the warm lake water, and being situated exactly at the 45th parallel, our local climate is inundated with between 120" and 180" of snow each year (about 10 to 15 feet). There is a strong local preference for AWD and socially the region is very much like the Pacific Northwest, so Subaru's are very popular here. But I contend on a daily basis that a good FWD or RWD is just as capable in the elements, so long as you outfit a great set of snow tires (Pirelli, Nokian, or Gislaved), leave yourself extra space, and drive within your limits. Overconfidence and poor visibility are what lead to accidents, not drivetrains. I drive a FIAT 500 with Pirelli SnowControl 2 tires in the winter (on 16" wheels. The 17" Abarth wheels fit summer tires only) and have yet to get stuck, slide out of control, or go into a ditch. I saw the proof is in the pudding, so watch me plow through a blizzard with gusto.
(Protip: The light weight of the 500 also reduces the amount of inertia/traction required for acceleration as well as reduces braking distance)

Now I'm singing that, IRL. It's going to be a long Friday for my coworkers. LOL!

Looks like you can make your own Klondike edition if you were so inclined.

cute, but not an Abarth. Needs more Abarth. ABARTH!

Hah! I'm originally from Rockford, Michigan, near Grand Rapids. I've been to Traverse City, it's beautiful. I graduated from U of M, but the AF moved me around and I ended up in Colorado.

No doubt. But most people aren't like us. They need to be spoon-fed this stuff and that's not bad, just a fact I suppose.

True. Is that an exclusive paint color? I've never seen a 500 like that.

I doubt it. You'd need to ask the OP about that.

Nice to meet another Michigan Jalop! I'm from the area, but also spent time in Saginaw, Flint, Detroit, and the best 5 years if my life were in East Lansing (Go State!).
TC is a great market for the FIAT brand, and our dealership principal is a tremendous gear head, so he was reportedly very excited to land the FIAT franchise (and potential future rights to Alfa Romeo which came with it). The residents have embraced the product, and when the 500X CUV hits, I'll really start chiseling away at the legion of Subaru loyalists.
I'd imagine you're probably around CO Springs?

I am in the Springs. I work in the Space biz now. The Alfa line would be a coup! The 500L is growing on me. I recommended it to my aunt in Los Angeles. I generally detest Subaru drivers, they migrated from Volvo 240s. Lane hogs.

Yeah, it's a tough relationship between Scuby and I. I fell in love with the 22B STi, but even as the Rex migrated to North America, the dealers only kept high trim level Outbacks and Legacy wagons on the lot. Just yuppie baiting. Pretty sure there was an LL Bean edition, too. But you can't hate the manufacturer, you can only hate the drivers. The 500L, aside from its polarizing design and naming scheme, is absolutely fantastic!
